My name is Doraly Avila, and Florida has been my home for the past 17 years; I was originally born in Cuba. As an immigrant navigating through various barriers, I've come to intimately understand the struggles that many families in South Florida face, especially when it comes to something as fundamental as food. Driven by my own experiences, advocating for those grappling with food insecurity became a personal mission of mine. Along the way, I stumbled upon an incredible group of like-minded individuals who share my passion and aspirations.
My name is Esther and I’ve resided in South Florida for 20 years. As a pre-med student and a future medical doctor, I’ve always been driven to help others and found like minded individuals to start a nonprofit with. Witnessing the prevalence of hunger in Miami, I’m committed to ensuring everyone has access to one of the basic necessities through our initiatives.

Josh Rios is a first-generation American, born and raised in Miami, to Cuban and Nicaraguan immigrants fleeing communism. His passion for public service comes from wanting to give back to the same community that helped his parents achieve the American Dream. He has been part of numerous boards and organizations such as Student Advisor to the Miami-Dade School Board, Miami-Dade County Parks and Recreation Advisory Committee, the Miami Lakes Youth Activities Task Force, and on the Board of Directors of the City of Doral’s Parks and Police 4 Kids foundation. Now, on the board for Nobody Left Hungry, Josh’s goal is to create impactful events and programs for families dealing with food insecurity throughout South Florida.
My name is Numa Frias, and I'm a premedical student and immigrant from Venezuela who has called South Florida home since 2014. Emerging from a low-income background myself, I am thrilled to be part of a compassionate and determined team of friends, all driven by the same goal: to support the low-income families and homeless individuals in our community towards a prosperous and food-secure future!
